Federal Government giving out asset management funding to BC communities

Ottawa is helping 36 BC communities to build stronger communities through better asset management.

Those communities will benefit from a combined 1.6 million dollars in federal funding through the Municipal Asset Management Program.

That funding will go towards ensuring municipalities of all sizes have access to the resources they need to build prosperous communities.

The following communities will be receiving $50,000, Masset, Prince Rupert, Granisle, Burns Lake and Houston. Other notable communities such as Terrace will be getting $24,000 and Stewart will receive $45,000
