An assault call from yesterday inadvertantly led Williams Lake RCMP right to a stash of hidden firearms.
Police were called to a home on the 700 block of Pigeon avenue just before 3:00 yesterday morning for a reported assault in progress.
When officers arrived on scene, they were able to quickly apprehend the female suspect, who was hiding in the residence at the time.
She was later released to appear in court in April.
But, a subsequent search of the residence revealed two shotguns and what is belived to be a BB handgun, which a separate, male resident, was attempting to conceal.
He was arrested on numerous firearms related offenses, and appeared in court later in the day.
Police say that all three individuals involved are known to them, and that they have known ties to local gangs.
