Following the path of multiple other Schools, the University of Northern BC will be adjusting class schedules to combat Omicron.
With the Covid variant rapidly spreading across the province, many schools have decided to shift classes online.
While UNBC isn’t taking as drastic of an approach as some schools, they will be making changes.
Classes will begin as scheduled on January 5th, however the first class for all courses will be delivered online, through Zoom or Blackboard.
That will cover all classes at the schools between the 5th and 11th, afterwhich many courses will shift back to in-person.
But, the University says that many other courses will be switching to alternate delivery methods until January 28th.
In the Fall, approximately 70 percent of classes at UNBC were in-person, a number the University says will be slightly lower next semester.
