A new world class digital sound system recently installed at the Lester Centre of the Arts in Prince Rupert will help revitalize the creative heart of the City.
A partnership between the Prince Rupert Port Authority and Performing Arts Society made the upgrades possible.
New equipment will replace that which was installed more than 30 years ago, when the Centre first opened.
All components of the theatre’s audio system have been updated or replaced, including: the speakers, amplifiers, microphones, mixing console, and more.
In addition, as part of the project, the electrical infrastructure of the theatre has also been upgraded.
In total, the project cost 206 thousand dollars, with half of that coming from the Port Authority’s Community Investment Fund.
