One man is in hospital with life-threatening injuries following an assault outside a Quesnel social society yesterday.
RCMP were initially called to the hospital just before 7:30 at night for reports of an assault victim.
Police later discovered that the man’s injuries were the result of an altercation which took place on Laurent Street earlier in the evening.
According to reports, the altercation in question took place at the Northern Network of Peers for Equality building.
A suspect, who is known to the victim, has since been arrested, and police do not believe there is any further public threat.
