A number of files relating to a 2015 court case which absolved the Catholic Church of obligations to Residential School survivors, have now been compiled and released online.
That case saw Catholic entities released from certain outstanding payments, allowed deductions from Aboriginal Healing Foundation payments, and allowed fundraising commitment exemptions.
Files from that case were never sealed, but the courts did not publicly release them at the time.
Now, the Indian Residential School History and Dialogue Centre at UBC has compiled an online portal to access those files, resources, and information.
