Repairs planned next month on a Bella Coola area bridge have been postponed until the spring.
But, it isn’t news that many residents of the area are taking poorly.
When news that the repairs would take place in January first hit, many questioned the logistics, wondering how only having foot-travel access would work in the winter.
Repairs on the Bailey Bridge, on Saloompt Road, over the Bella Coola River, are expected to keep the bridge closed to vehicle travel for a month.
Emergency and service access during that time would have been tough during the winter months, especially should recent weather concerns maintain.
