A northern University has signed an agreement dedicated to eliminating racism against Black post-secondary students.
With more than 40 post-secondary institutions signed on, the Scarborough Charter highlights overarching principles to eliminate racism against Black students.
Now, the University of Northern BC will join them in signing on to the Charter, as well as committing to actionable and measurable initiatives to tackle the issues.
Fostering cooperative development, removing structural barriers to success, developing positive relationships, and accepting accountability are all keys highlighted in the Charter.
