A large scale emergency response effort has been launched by the Salvation Army in light of the extreme weather events and flooding plaguing the south.
Emergency units have been deployed to six of the hardest hit communities, with two more emergency vehicles mobilized and on standby.
Trained emergency response units are providing food, hydration, shelter, clothing, and more to impacted and displaced residents.
In some cases, meals are being airlifted in to sites, and evacuation centres have been opened to help receive flood victims.
