Yesterday, many members of the Movement of United Professionals that live in BC decided to walk out on the BCGEU offices as a part of job action.
The BCGEU were given a 72-hour strike notice by the union after their final offer for a new collective agreement was shot down by the union’s members.
The union’s website provided some more information, saying that this half day of job action began yesterday at noon will continue with further action later.
The previous collective agreement between the BCGEU and Move UP ended at the beginning of April earlier this year.
