TB Vets, a charitable organization based in BC, has announced their grant recipients for 2021, with four Northern hospitals benefiting from the funding.
Funds will all go towards equipment used to treat and manage respiratory illnesses, such as ventilators, oxymeters, defibrillators, and more.
Wrinch Memorial Hospital, in Hazelton, will receive a laryngoscope worth 20,000 dollars, Kitimat General Hospital receives a ventilator worth 40,000, the Fort St John Hospital foundation gets a pediatric simulator worth just over 28,000, and the Dawson Creek and District Hospital foundation will get a ventilator values at over 51 thousand dollars.
TB Vets has been supporting respiratory care in BC for 75 years.
