At a UN climate convention in Glasgow, all the International delegates in attendance were given a reminder of what horrors the people of Lytton had to survive when their village burned down back on June 30th of this year.
Canada’s Prime Minister Justin Trudeau talked about the fate that the village suffered in his opening address at the COP-26 climate convention taking place in Scotland.
Trudeau made sure to note that the temperature in Lytton was at a record high 49.6 degrees Celsius one day before the fires started.
Trudeau also reminded the other world leaders at the convention that what happened to Lytton, could happen anywhere else in the world and he encouraged his fellow leaders to do everything they can to cut down on greenhouse gas emissions.
