Public Service employees in BC are quickly running out of time to get vaccinated, if they want to keep their jobs.
According to an announcement by Health Minister Adrian Dix today, any public service employee under the Province’s purview, must get at least one dose of Covid vaccine by November 22nd.
If they do not, they will be placed on unpaid leave for up to three months, after which they may be terminated if they are still unvaccinated.
Last week, the Minister announced that just over 4 thousand provincial health care workers had yet to be vaccinated, despite a mandate that took full effect last Tuesday.
Of those, around 3,300 have now been placed on unpaid leave.
