Since the Cariboo Regional District has been finalizing their business plans for next year, some of their upcoming projects have been revealed such as an upgrade to their water system and their local community hall.
These business plans were discussed last week by directors from the finance and budget committee, and their discussion involved what would be done for certain sectors like environmental services and community services, just to name a few.
One of the bigger projects that is being planned is upgrading the Lac La Hache water system, a system that was initially made back in 1982, and whose last upgrade was in 2002.
The main goal of said upgrade is to put in a new pump house and then add a second one so that the risk of losing the potable water supply is lowered.
Some other projects for the Cariboo include updating multiple community halls throughout the area.
The adoption of these business plan will officially be voted on at a later district directors meeting.
