The annual influenza vaccination clinic that appears in Quesnel is going to be set up in the building that it typically operates out of, the Quesnel and District Seniors’ Centre.
This is happening despite the fact that a COVID clinic has also been placed in the same building.
The medical health officer for the Northern Interior, Dr. Rakel Kling, sent out a statement saying that putting a COVID vaccine and flu vaccine clinic in close proximity has both problems and advantages.
Kling also said that with how the world is at the moment, it’s really important to get a flu shot.
The clinic will be open from November 1st to 12th, but it will be closed on the 11th for remembrance day, and the hours of operation are 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
To book an appointment for a shot, the number to call is 250-983-6850.
