Finances were front and centre as the Regional District of Fraser-Fort George introduced updates to their Regional Solid Waste Management Plan yesterday.
Included in the new version of the Plan is a 10 year budget forecast, which pulls together revenue and expenditure reports from a number of Regional and local sources.
The District’s 2021 Financial Plan proposes steady increases to tipping fees and requisitions, a review of the current small load tipping fee, and a look in to the viability of a drop off fee for yard and garden waste.
Board members voted to update the plan, which hadn’t been updated since 2013, during their regular meeting yesterday.
