A group of doctors from BC are calling for the provincial government to re-assess their methods of stopping the spread of COVID-19.
This group, which is known as Protect our Province B-C, is made up of both doctors and medical researchers, and they had a discussion yesterday which made note of how the virus is spread via aerosol transmission.
An infectious disease physician and medical microbiologist named Victor Leung went onto say that both the province and public health have taken too much time to amend mandates so that the virus’s spread could be limited.
Health Minister Adrian Dix made a statement of his own, saying that BC has made lots of info on the virus publicly available and he defended provincial health officer Dr. Bonnie Henry’s approach to limiting the virus.
