A mural which some have historically deemed problematic is set to be removed from Prince George.
Created in 1967, the mural depicts a portion of the cities history, from a colonizer point of view.
The mural shows a number of settlers, a long with religious preachers, and kneeling Indigenous peoples.
It also incorrectly shows teepees, which were not used by the Bands meant to be depicted, in the background.
The City will be tearing down the mural along with the old downtown pool, which is set to be replaced.
A nearby statue of Terry Fox will be relocated to help it survive the teardown.
