An Ontario MP is calling out the Liberal Government for letting the Catholic Church off the hook.
Timmins based NDP MP Charlie Angus penned a letter to the Prime Minister today, seeking clarification.
Angus would like to know who made the decision to drop a 2015 Appeal, allowing the Church to walk out on millions still owed to Residential School survivors.
That Federal Appeal was still underway after cabinet was sworn in.
New information recently brought to light has revealed that then Attorney General Jody Wilson-Raybould, was bypassed in the decision.
Angus would like to know why she was not consulted, who was behind that decision, and why it was made at all.
