Copper continues to flow, and with it comes plans for expansion at the Gibraltar Mine near Williams Lake.
Production of copper at the site increased by 29 percent this quarter, bringing in over 34 million pounds of metal.
Taseko Mines, who operate Gibraltar, say they have recently mobilized a drill crew to continue site expansion begun in the spring.
In addition, the company recently completed a geophysics survey which revealed a number of anomalies, which the drilling program will investigate further.
Operations at the Mine are reportedly being smoothly transitioned to the Gibraltar Pit.
With the cost of Copper holding strong, and a recent 50 million dollar credit acquisition, the Mine says they are well poised for the year ahead.
