The former head of BC’s Vehicle Services Authority has been permanently banned from practicing law.
In May, members of the Law society filed a petition to have Loraine Lee removed from her position as Chief Operating Officer.
They claim that she misrepresented herself as a lawyer, though Lee says the VSA new about her situation when they hired her.
Investigations related to the petition found that she had only been a practicing lawyer for 7 months in 1987.
Lee, who was also a member of the Mental Health Review Board, and the Passenger Transportation Board, has been permanently banned from practicing law, or presenting herself as a lawyer in BC.
