October 7th Covid-19 Update

British Columbia is reporting 752 new cases of Covid-19, as of last night.

That brings the province’s active total to 5,945, with 136 in ICU.

Of the new cases, 130 are within Northern Health’s jurisdiction, and 164 are in the Interior.

Nine new deaths have been reported with none in the North or Interior.

Over the last two weeks, the unvaccinated made up nearly 78 percent of hospitalizations.

Just under 83 percent of eligible British Columbians have received two vaccinations.
