A first-of-its-kind biofuel plant is on the way to Prince George, after receiving a funding boost yesterday.
Canfor has announced its final investment decision in support of Arbios Biotech’s biomass to low-carbon plant.
That plant aims to create a more sustainable form of biofuel by converting sawmill residues in to renewable biocrude.
That biocrude can then be further processed to produce low-carbon forms of transportation fuels.
Canfor’s decision covers the first construction phase of the project, which is itself a joint venture with Licella Holdings.
