Skyrocketing Covid cases in the Northeast have prompted one First Nation to close its doors.
Prince George has one of the highest rates of Covid cases per 100 thousand people in the province, with only 66 percent fully vaccinated.
As a result, the Lheidli T’enneh First Nation will be restricting access to their territory until next Tuesday.
Only residents, essential staff, and contractors on Lheidli T’enneh projects will be allowed access.
They become the second Indigenous community in BC to temporarily close their doors due to Covid.
