One woman’s face became very familiar to police in Fort St John last week, which was precisely the problem.
RCMP responded to two different calls to local businesses last week with reports of a patron refusing to wear a mask.
To officers’ surprise, both calls were for the same woman.
On Tuesday, she was asked to leave a business after she turned down police requests to wear a mask, in line with provincial health orders.
On Friday, police again followed the same script, to the same results, when called to Shoppers’ Drug Mart.
When she refused again and began to bother staff, police arrested her on mischief charges.
She was released and will appear in court in mid-November.
