A new program aims to help some of the most vulnerable people in this country in a subtle, but meaningful way.
Today, Telus is launching their Mobility for Good for Indigenous Women at Risk program.
That program looks to provide free smartphones and data plans to Indigenous women at risk of or surviving violence.
Of the four partners in the program, three are based in BC: the Prince George Native Friendship Centre, the Native Court worker and Counselling Association of BC, and the BC Association of Aboriginal Friendship Centres.
