British Columbia is reporting a total of 553 new cases of Covid-19 as of last night.
This brings the province’s active total to 5,580, with two new outbreaks.
Declared in the interior, the first of those outbreaks is at the Nicola Meadows assisted care home in Merritt.
Another outbreak was declared yesterday at BC-Hydro’s Site C project, near Fort St John, by Northern Health.
The Site C outbreak comes following 41 lab-confirmed cases of Covid activity.
In total, this brings the province up to 12 outbreaks, with 8 in the Interior, and one in Northern Health.
There are currently 230 active cases in the Interior Health Region, and 36 in Northern Health’s jurisdiction.
One new death was reported, bringing the total to 1,782.
