The province is reporting 2,491 new cases of COVID-19 in the past three days, 104 of those were in the Northern Health region.
During today’s COVID-19 briefing, provincial health officer, Dr. Bonnie Henry, also announced there were 17 additional COVID-19 related deaths during that period. There are currently 8,199 people hospitalized, and 158 of them are in intensive care.
Dr. Henry also confirmed a baby who died in January at B.C. Children’s Hospital was due to COVID-19, the youngest death in the province.
