The Lax Kw’alaams community is mourning the loss on an historic landmark.
Fire destroyed the 147-year-old Grace United Church over the weekend.
Emergency crews were called out early Saturday morning around 5:30.
The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
The church was originally established in 1874 and then rebuilt after a fire in 1934.
