Northern Health has declared a precautionary outbreak on a Prince George hospital unit.
The move follows lab confirmed COVID-19 cases connected to the Internal Medicine Unit of the Universtiy Hospital of Northern B.C. Officials say two patients and four staff have tested positive for the virus.
The Health authority says it is closely monitoring for additional cases, and the hospital is taking steps to protect staff and patients with enhanced outbreak precautions.
