The Nisga’a Valley Health Authority has received lab confirmation of a positive Covid-19 cases that is being isolated and followed in the Terrace area.
Due to the confirmation of a positive test and high risk of Covid-19 transmission, the Nisga’a Valley Health Authority is requesting that all Nisga’a residents restrict travel to essential trips only and self-isolate for 14 days when travelling to the Terrace area and beyond.
The Health Authority is reverting back to phase one of the pandemic plan. That includes travel restrictions in and out of the communities, strict isolation, mandatory social distancing in all public places, mandatory masks and elimination of social gatherings.
