Throughout Oct. and Nov. burning of unsalvageable wood debris will be taking place. The exact timing of when this burning will be taking place will largely depend on the weather. Burning will only take place when conditions are suitable and smoke in the surrounding areas will be visible.
The burning is part of an ongoing project to rehabilitate areas affected by wild fire suppression activities, such as the removal of trees and vegetation to establish fireguards.
The three burn sites are, Nadia Lake, Verdun Mountain and Cheslatta Lake wildfire.
