Restaurants Canada is calling on B.C.’s next government to support the food service recovery.
They are urging all parties seeking the top spot to adopt recommendations in helping the province’s restaurants pull through the pandemic. According to Restaurants Canada the food service industry was not only one of the hardest hit but also one of the slowest to recover.
According to a survey they conducted, the majority of B.C.’s restaurants are still not profitable and more than half of restaurants still operating at a loss expect to take a year to return to profitability.
Restaurants Canada has shared a “menu for recovery“, which is a list of recommendations for helping B.C.’s food service industry pull through the Covid-19 pandemic.
