Charges have been approved after a suspect was caught in the act of breaking into a local business last month.
After midnight on Tuesday, Aug. 11, the Prince George RCMP’s Street Crew Unit interrupted a break and enter in progress at a business on the 2300 block of Ospika Boulevard in Prince George.
The suspect fled on foot and was located hiding nearby. He was taken into custody with the assistance of a Police Dog Service team a few minutes later. The investigation led police to believe that the suspect had been in possession of a semi-tractor that had been stolen from Grand Prairie, AB.
31 year old Clinton Jay Baraniuk of Prince George has been charged with, break and enter with intent, possession of property obtained by crime over $5000, resisting arrest and possession of break in instruments.
He was remanded in custody and is set to appear in court on Thursday Sept. 17th, 2020.
