Funding announced to support Indigenous communities during pandemic

This is all through the Indigenous Community Support Fund as Canada recognizes that First Nation, Inuit and Métis are among the most at risk and also face unique challenges in addressing the virus.

The fund can be used in various ways such as, supporting Elders and vulnerable community members, addressing food insecurity, educational and other supports for children, mental health assistance and emergency response services, preparedness measures to prevent the spread of Covid-19 and can be distributed directly to First Nations, Inuit and Métis leadership.

The funding will also be available to Indigenous communities and organizations that serve Indigenous Peoples.
