Construction crews are set to begin work this week to resurface 21.4 kilometres of side roads in the North Peace.
The $4 million project will begin five kilometres north of Cecil Lake Road on Rose Prairie. Crews will then work north towards 260 Rd., east to 259 Rd., then north one last time ending at Milligan Creek Road.
The project is part of the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure’s work to maintain and improve the side-road network in the North Peace. The work also includes, additional graveling, brushing, ditching and base-repairs. Rose Prairie Rd. is an important side-road as it serves rural communities and industries.
Once the project begins drivers can expect delays of up to 20 minutes with occasional single lane traffic during the day.
