The province is partnering with the City of Dawson Creek along with the South Peace Community Resources Society on a proposal to build 30 new supportive homes for people experiencing homelessness.
Selina Robinson, Minister for Municipal Affairs and Housing says, “in partnership with the City of Dawson Creek and the South Peace Community Resources Society, we’re making sure the most vulnerable people in our communities have safe and affordable homes with wraparound support services that will help them move forward with their lives.”
A rezoning application has been submitted to the city to provide lane for projects at 1024, 1028, 1032 and 1036 and 104 Ave. If this application is accepted then construction could start in Sept. 2020 and finish by early 2021.
