On May. 29, Prince George RCMP received a report of a possible home invasion at a residence on the 1800 block of Tamarack St. Officers went to the scene where two adult males attempted to flee the residence by the back door, both were arrested shortly after.
An investigation led officers to believe that the two suspects entered the resident brandishing firearms and demanding the occupants hand over a dog. The two adult male occupants refused. Police arrived and the suspects fled, leading to their arrest. Search of the residence found a rifle, a BB gun that resembled an assault style rifle, and body armour. All were believed to have been left behind by the suspects.
The incident appears to be a targeted attack. No one in the residence was physically injured. The B.C. Prosecution Service approved charges against Shayn Robert Bulmer, 23, and Dylon Sadillo McLemore, 23, of Prince George. The charges include, break & enter to commit indictable offence, possession of a weapon for the purpose of committing an offence and two counts of assault with a weapon.
Further charges may be considered as the investigation is ongoing. Both accused remain in custody and will appear in court on Jun. 2.
