On May 19, a member of the Prince George RCMP’s Street Crew Unit with assistance from the Detachment’s General Duty Section, conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in a parking lot on Austin Rd. The vehicle was displaying stolen licence plates.
The driver resisted arrest but was taken into custody. Officers found a prohibited firearm on the floorboard of the driver’s seat, the firearm was loaded.
Jamie Wade Fatum, 27, of Prince George has been charged by the B.C. Prosecution Service with multiple firearm and weapons charges as well as resisting arrest and possession of property obtained by crime. Fatum will appear in court Jun. 12.
