A statement has been made from a small group of Tsayu members speaking out against the premature announcement made Thursday Apr. 30 by the Office of the Wet’suwet’en Hereditary Chiefs, the Provincial Government, and the Federal Government.
At the two meetings prior to the Covid-19 pandemic, Tsayu members had brought concerns forward regarding the MoU on Wet’suwet’en Governance. The Tsayu members believe that voices from the nation are being ignored.
The Tsayu Clan is calling for the Hereditary Chiefs to get back to the table and listen to all the voices in the nation. The signing of the Memorandum is scheduled to take place tomorrow in Smithers.
