B.C. Transit to reinstate fares and front door loading next month

B.C. Transit will be enhancing safety measures bringing the return of front door loading and fare collections starting on June 1.

Fares will be collected on conventional, community and HandyDART services. B.C. Transit will be installing temporary vinyl panel to allow for safe physical distancing for the operator and all customers on all buses. Other safety measures will remain in place including, enhanced cleaning, physical distancing procedures, limiting passenger capacity and enhancing red lines for passengers to stand behind.

Until June 1, rear door loading and not collecting fares will continue.
