Police are currently investigating a shooting that took place in the community early this morning.
Early this morning Prince George RCMP received a report of shots fired near 6th Ave. and Alward St. Multiple officers went to the scene. Evidence of a shooting was found in an alley nearby. No victims or suspects were initially located. Later in the morning a vehicle associated to an address near the report was found with what appeared to be bullet holes. The driver of the vehicle was spoken to, but is not cooperating with police at this time.
The investigation has led officers to believe that this incident was targeted and related to the drug trade. The Prince George RCMP have allocated a number of resources to this investigation with the goal of identifying the person or persons involved.
