Kitimat Search and Rescue locates two lost hikers

At approximately 6:20 p.m., Kitimat Search and Rescue were tasked by the Kitimat RCMP in locating two lost hikers around the Coho Flats Trail System.

The hikers had inadvertently gone off trail and became disorientated. Three search and rescue members responded to the task and the hikers were found around 7:35 p.m. in good condition.

The hikers did everything right including being well prepared, carrying fully charged phones and leaving a pre-plan with their expected turn time with someone responsible.
