The Nisga’a Nation has entered into a memorandum of understanding with B.C. housing to collaborate on the development of a residential asset management framework.
Each of the Nisga’a Villages executed the MOU that is intended to build capacity in the administration of housing and develop and share good practices in residential housing management.
Eva Clayton, President of the Nisga’a Nation says, “Ultimate, the capacity building will result in improved delivery of residential housing programs and services in each of the Nisga’a Villages.”
The three year memorandum with B.C. housing will result in hands on training to current housing staff in the areas of asset condition assessments, data management, capital planning, maintenance management, energy management, procurement, construction project management and funding and grant application writing.
