Early this morning, Prince George RCMP along with emergency services responded to a fatal collision on Highway 97 south of Prince George in the Buckhorn area.
Upon arrival it was determined that a logging truck and two other vehicles, an SUV and a pickup truck, had collided resulting in the logging truck spilling its load on the highway. One person is confirmed deceased and another has been sent to hospital with undetermined injuries.
The cause of the crash has not been determined and nothing is being ruled out. The investigation is still in its early stages. Prince George RCMP, Prince George Regional Traffic Services (PGRTS), Commercial Vehicle and Safety Enforcement officers, WorkSafeBC and the BC Coroners’ Service are continuing to investigate the collision.
