Supporters of the Wet’suwet’en Hereditary Chiefs and pipeline opponents blocked off a section of Highway 16 near New Hazelton Thursday afternoon.
Dozens of people, some carrying signs, stopped traffic at Highway 16 near the visitor information centre.
It was one of a number of actions in solidarity with those opposed to the Coastal GasLink pipeline project through Wet’suwet’en Territory.
Events were staged at the Port of Vancouver, The B.C. Legislature, and downtown Vancouver.
