No Frills and all Loblaw-affiliated grocery outlets across B.C. are celebrating another successful Holiday food drive. They collected a total of $210,604 which is over 116,535 lbs.
The food drive ran from Nov. 29 to Dec. 24 at all Loblaw Locations across the province. The donations were collected for more than 48 local food banks in all areas of B.C. where Loblaw stores are located. The 2019 Holiday Food Drive marked 10 years since Loblaw’s first national food drive was held in the spring of 2009. In Kitimat we saw Kyle’s No Frills bring in $7,800 in cash donations and 7 cart fulls of food. That is in support of Kitimat Food Bank Society.
Since 2009 stores across Canada have raised more than $24.8 million, with more than $2.2 million of that total raised here in B.C.
