Haida Gwaii has updated their all-island internet outage.
The cause of the outage has been traced back to GwaiiTel’s microwave radio link/tower on Mt. Hays near Prince Rupert. It was caused by the high winds on Tuesday night. Technicians have been dispatched to deal with the problem but weather and snow conditions are complicating the response. It is estimated that there will be a minimum of 48 hours before internet is restored.
There will be a further update once there is a more concrete timeline.
