Nearly two weeks after the RCMP set up a blockade at the Morice Forest Service Road Coastal Gaslink has held a press conference to speak to the issues and concerns of the people.
David Pfeiffer, Coastal Gaslink president has said that there have been attempts to come to a peaceful resolution in this problem. Pfeiffer still has hope that the dispute can be resolved peacefully.
He also stresses during the press conference that the pipeline is on a schedule and time is running short. They do have an obligation to deliver the pipeline in accordance to their contract.
Susannah Pierce, Director of Corporate Affairs also hopes that this situation can be resolved peacefully. In a post on the LNG Canada website Pierce also called for an equal voice in this matter. Calling on both social media and media to share fair and balanced stories in this matter.
