Early Sunday morning the Prince George RCMP received a report of a male exiting a driveway on Dalhousie Dr.
Within minutes officers managed to locate a person matching the description provided. The suspect was found breaking into a vehicle near the corner of McGill Cr. and Simon Fraser Dr. The suspect fled through the back of the residence beginning a chase. A member of the public driving on Highway 16 observed the footchase and offered the man a ride to a more advantageous location.
The suspect was tracked through the brush and over fences. Personal and stolen items were located during the chase. Shortly after a Police Service Dog “kash” located the suspect hiding under a trailer on Hollandia Dr. He was taken into custody shortly after.
Davin Gray Jokinen has been charged with, trespassing at night, possession of break in instruments, resisting arrest, failure to comply with probation and failure to comply with conditions of release. He is set to appear in court on Wednesday.
